Nicole Horst

Nicole, President of Wenk Associates since 2020, oversees and often manages most of the firm’s complex park, open space, greenway, and municipal projects. With 24 years of experience, Nicole can develop strategies to push through complicated environmental, political, and community challenges and build departmental and community consensus to support project goals and reach successful outcomes. Nicole aims to simultaneously make her project processes comfortable and accessible to all project team members, from highly technical experts to the broader lay community. She brings a passion for place-making and creating enduring spaces that connect people to nature and are respectful to all.

Nicole is a professional landscape architect in the States of Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. She holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Iowa State University. Nicole also serves as Wenk’s managing principal. She has served as a jury member for the ULI Americas Awards for Excellence and has presented nationally on a variety of topics related to resilient design.
